Lynda Detweiler-Newcomb

LYNDA DETWEILER-NEWCOMB Brain Training in EncinitasLynda earned a Master’s Degree from Northridge University and has over 30 years of experience in Communication Disorders. Her goal in life is to change lives for the better on a daily basis and to date has thousands of success stories to tell. She has treated patients in many settings including schools, acute rehab hospitals, convalescent hospitals, supervised Home Health Therapists for Scripps Home Care, and coming up on two decades of private practice by establishing The Encinitas Learning Center & Academy in 1997.

It is a practice that includes a wide range of treatment diagnosis for ages 6 to adult. Primarily, her research and studies have centered on Auditory Processing Deficits because of a family member’s struggles and has, like any parent, sought out treatments that really work!

She discovered many other similarly affected individuals along the way who had never been diagnosed or treated and today count themselves as part of the many success stories resulting from brain-based therapy for reading, executive function, ADHD/ADD, and fluency/comprehension skills. Neurological underpinnings lay a foundation from which all academic careers can launch, and Lynda has the graduation announcements of her clients to show this! <br>
